What’s your role at Aesthetic Shift, and what do you focus on day-to-day?
My role at Aesthetic Shift is a Planning Consultant who works closely with the Head of Planning and the design team. My daily tasks fluctuate throughout the week making this a rewarding and ambitious role to be in. These daily tasks can include:

• Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals and reports
• Liaising with councils and local authorities on a daily basis
• Working on feasibility research and planning policy analysis
• Ensuring project alignment and collaborating with designers
• Managing a variety of projects throughout the country
• Using a variety of software and AI tools to create high-quality work

How did you get into architecture/design/planning?
With a diverse background in this sector, I have been involved in the land/planning sector for the past eight years. Before my career pathway, I graduated from the University of East Anglia with a degree in Ecology & Natural Sciences back in 2016.

I have been very fortunate to work on a variety of infrastructure projects throughout the UK over the past few years and have built an excellent portfolio on client contel. Recently I have taken a more pivotal movement towards Planning operations and client strategy.
